In the beginning, this had me excited to see where this is going. But then it’s a lot of the same throughout the film without much progression. But maybe that’s the point!? I don’t know. It’s indeed insanely well acted and very funny at times. And it’s certainly quite unique in how it’s filmed. Maybe this needs a rewatch.

This was a wild cruise! An a damn entertaining one! Nothing too subtle going on: just bunch of filthy rich idiots getting what they deserve. Muahahaha. The captain’s dinner is incredible. With Refused’s "New Noise" as the perfect Soundtrack. In den Wolken!
The music section for the most part now features the Bandcamp embed instead of the one from Spotify. I find this to be much better, because you can listen to a whole album, even without account. And I actually prefer Bandcamp and have been using it more and more lately.
Uff, it’s been a week already, since I had a great day with Florian at Zeche Zollverein in Essen – photographing and talking. He has the evidence over on his fantastic photo blog:

Haven’t seen this in a long time. Was inspired to rewatch it by apodcast episode about it. Again liked it a lot. It’s remarkable, howwell this has aged in my opinion. The dialogue, the filming; thesupposed crime is actually pretty violent (you don’t see it, but theytalk about it). It’s an all around well-rounded affair. And it'sprobably worth another rewatch given all the little details in it.

Not Jarmusch’s best film, but entertaining none the less. RobertoBenigni was the best in this one.
Trying not to fall behind more than one year.
Panoramic summer impressions.

Lovely little episode-movie. Great humour (oh, the scene, where she’strying to make him laugh!), choreography (the plane in the window in thefirst shot of the second episode), visuals and soundtrack!
Their new album. This band really became a favourite during the last year or so. This output again immediately puts a smile on my face. So much fun playing and singing going on. An authentic sound. So good. Need to see them live!
For some reason I wanted to listen to this classic a while back. Still regularly putting this on.

It’s not far from Mutoid Man to Converge. And then their latest album is a collaboration with Chelsea Wolfe!? Sign me up! This seems to be atypical, but I like this a lot. A great album front to back!
It’s the month of July.
Two parties, some rare visitors, a camping trip, a Krimidinner, and some horse riding.

I think I have a soft spot for those old Italian horror film. The setdesign, the make up, the fantastic old school effects, the music, theacting, the not-taking-themselves-to-seriously. Good stuff, in my humbleopinion.

This could have been something. The Brood is really quite terrifying. But it didn‘t really came into action all that often. Instead, the moviespend a lot of time with slow-paced dialogue. And I think I didn‘treally get what the ending was hinting at.

I thought there was a lot of good stuff in here: foremost thePumpkinhead monster itself – but also the visuals in general. Thecharacters are good too, it even has some well thought out dramaelements. But in the end the sum of its parts didn‘t really add up to awell rounded movie. Was still entertaining, though.
